Personalized care to ease pain, restore comfortable movement, and help you feel more at home in your body.
Have you ever flown on an airplane? The safety protocol always instructs adults to put their own face mask on before helping a child or assisting someone else. Taking care of your exhausted, hurting body means putting your oxygen mask on first.
The movements of massage help increase circulation and help balance the nervous system. Areas that may be affected by injury will experience an evening of blood flow, which can facilitate more rapid healing.
Moving your body, whether by your own means or with a manual therapy like massage, is medicine in and of itself. Movement increases circulation, lymphatic drainage and nervous system input. As humans we were born to move!
When experiencing chronic pain, we often begin to disassociate with our bodies as a defense mechanism. During your session you will experience sensations that your body has and reconnect with yourself.
Give yourself the opportunity to slow down in a safe space and allow your body to relax and unwind.
After your treatment, you will feel like a different person from the one you walked in as. In the best possible way.
We are inherently busy people. Taking time to slow down and focus on your well being helps your nervous system regulate.
Increased body awareness gives an opportunity for pain to go away
Compensation patterns from injuries are addressed
Recurring injury can subside and disappear with awareness of patterns
Bringing awareness to your body can allow you to feel better and bring lasting positive habits into your life
Movement education designed to meet you where you're at. As we go through life our body changes in what it wants and needs, and I am here to help you discover what works best for you NOW

I believe we all have the ability to heal ourselves. We just need to create the space, time, and openness to reach that. When we start to heal it isn't just "one thing" but all aspects of our body, mind and spirit that come into alignment.
I have come to understand that in our overstimulating world there is need for constant healing, nurturing and replenishing. The work is never done. Much like an onion, we have so many layers, and it seems there's always more to uncover.
It would be my honor to walk with you as you travel the path towards wellness.

If you are a new client, please call or text me so we can have a conversation to talk about your needs and goals and get you set up for your first appointment.
Get ready for your appointment by filling out and signing your intake form and policies and procedures form at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
Arrive to your appointment 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time to give you the full time on the table. I will go over any questions from your intake and have a check in with any other concerns.
"I'm a contractor and use my body pretty vigorously and sometimes way too repetitively. Emily is that rare find in a body worker that can problem solve on the physical level (deep tissue for me) and also integrate other modalities to support in other ways. There's a lot of evidence of her continually expanding her "tool kit", from using essential oils to offering Pilates. She offers great information on supportive exercises, stretches and postural suggestions. And to top it off she has created a beautiful light filled space that both calms and stimulates. Top marks! "
Emily commits to be fully present during your session. Camera must be turned on for virtual sessions.
We are all busy people, so it is important to us to honor the time of your appointment and end on time. This means that if you are late, your session will have the same end time regardless. This is in order to honor Emily's time, your time, and the time of the clients that follow.
First time clients will receive notification that their appointment is UNCONFIRMED. Emily will contact you to have a conversation and confirm your appointment
All appointments must be made at least 24 in advance. We do not accept same day appointments or walk-ins.
It is important to us to be able to serve you as best as we possibly can, and this includes an understanding of what you have experienced in your body.

You will only need to sign this once so we have it on file. If any policies change, you will be notified.
For new clients, Please fill out the intake form at least 24 hours before your appointment. If you are unable to do so, you will be asked to fill one when you arrive, which may take time away from your scheduled appointment.

You will be sent a reminder email and text for your appointment 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time so you will have plenty of time to confirm if that works for you.

Even if you don't feel the urge to go, its a good idea to try - your session will be more easeful with an empty bladder! Of course you can use the bathroom any time but this is just a reminder!
You probably hear it frequently, and I'm going to say it again - DRINK WATER! Not coffee, tea, juice or something else- WATER! Your body is made up mostly of water, and it is important for our immune function, mobility, nervous system, muscular system, and ALL systems of the body to be hydrated in order to function optimally.
This is another reminder for you!
